Walk to the Library

Today we walked to the library because it was so nice out. Madison has a fun time there, but seems overwhelmed with the masses of books.

That's right, no more hearing CLINK, and then running to the bathroom only to arrive one second too late to see Madison's hand, or worse, my hairbrush being dunked into the toilet.

Hahaha, no more toilet fishing for you little one.

Smartie Pants

This morning I was getting out of the shower and drying off. Madison walked out of the bathroom, into our closet, and came back and handed me a pair of pants. (ok, they were Josh's pants, but they were pants.) I was amazed that she knew what comes after drying off, and that she wanted to help by getting me the pants.
BTW, I look pretty silly wearing Josh's pants. :)

Girls Day Out

Today Madison and I had a girl day in Grand Island and we had loads of fun. We started off by having lunch together and then went shopping. We found Madison an Easter dress, and a new smaller diaper bag now that we don't have to carry bottles or jarred foods around. Madison rode on a coin operated spaceship in the mall for the first time, and then we shared a fresh baked cookie.
On our way out of town, we stopped at Sundance Feed & Seed to look at the puppies. Madison was rather scared of them, which suprised me because normally she loves dogs. Maybe it was that they were in cages, or the fact that they were incessantly barking at us. They had so many cute puppies there though, I wanted to take them all home.
It was so nice in Grand Island too. 55 degrees and the sun was shining. It was a great day to get out of the house and hang out together.

It was almost nice today so we went outside for a couple photos. The next couple days are supposed to hit 50 so hopefully we can get outside more.

Beautiful Day

Today was so nice out. We spent a lot of time outdoors today and Madison cried when we had to come inside for dinner. We have been cooped up indoors for too long. I hope we have more beautiful days to come.

It's no secret that Madison is a Daddy's girl. They sat on the swing and read the paper.



We went for a long walk in the afternoon and spotted a cardinal.

We frequently break out the music and dance during dinner. Madison pulled out a new move tonight and it was too cute not to catch.

I made Rice Krispie Treats this last week and guess who loves them? If Madison sees them she says Mmmmmmm Mmmmmmm till she gets one. Here's a photo of her eating one for snack. She sits so ladylike too...

My girl

She has become so funny and silly. Her new thing is she likes to sit everywhere. In her rocking chair, on the steps, on my lap. She backs her little rear up to something and sits.

Madison doesn't like tv very much, but she loves the Backyardigans. Her face lights up when she hears the intro song.

Josh's sister gave birth to a baby girl Sunday morning. She is just adorable and we were so excited to meet her. Now Madison will have a little friend to grow up with.
